A Test for Honesty

One evening four college students stayed out very late, partying and having a good time. They paid no thought to the test that had been scheduled for the next day and didn’t do any study.

In the morning, they hatched a plan to get out of taking their test. They dressed and covered themselves with dirt and went to the Dean's office.

Once there, they said they had been to a friend's birthday celebrations the previous night and on the way back they got a flat tyre and the spare tyre was also flat so they had to push the car back to campus and they had only just got back.

The Dean listened to their tale of woe and offered them a retest three days later. They thanked him and accepted his generous offer.

When the test day arrived, they went to the Dean's office. The Dean then put them all in separate rooms for the test. They were fine with this as they had all studied hard over the previous couple of days. Then they saw the test and it only had 2 questions.

Question 1: (Worth 1 Point) - What is your name?

Question 2: (Worth 99 Points) - Which tyre on your car was flat when you we coming back the other night from your friend’s birthday celebrations - the front or rear, passenger or drivers' side?

What's prettier than freckles?

An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo. Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating their faces with tiger paws, so the little boy lined up to have his face painted.

'You've got so many freckles, there's no place to paint!’ a girl in the line said to the little boy.

Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head and his grandmother knelt down next to him and said. ‘I love your freckles, when I was a little girl I always wanted freckles,’ whilst tracing her finger across the boy's cheeks. ‘Freckles are so beautiful.’

The boy looked up and replied . . . ‘Really?’

'Of course,' said the grandmother. 'Why just name me one thing that's prettier than freckles.'

He thought for a moment, peered intensely into her eyes and softly whispered . . .  ‘Wrinkles’.
